Diabetes & 100 Lbs Gone 10 Months After DS Surgery

by Andrea

I had DS on 1/22/2013 and I have lost 100 lbs. My diabetes is gone and my cardiologist is thrilled. I go to a nutritionist, get my blood tested, and so far no problems.

I’ve made a commitment to the supplements and protein shakes. I exercise every day – lift weights and cardio – and I keep adding to the workouts.

I can move better, and I love wearing clothes and shopping.

My insurance did not pay. The cost was closer to $38,000, not the $20,000 I had seen quoted. I do have loose skin but it’s not as bad as I thought it would be.
