Dumping Syndrome: How To Relieve Symptoms

by Pamela
(Royse City, texas)

I’m 13 years out from gastric bypass and am keeping 150 off without much effort. I know what I did wrong when I started dumping. I get dizzy, light headed, weak, sweating, rapid heart and fatigued. I need to know what to do when I’m having these symptoms.

I can usually connect it to too much sugar. It seems to help relieve symptoms faster if I eat a piece of cheese or some other type of protein.

I feel the need to get something else in my bloodstream quickly to counteract the sugar.

Does this really help or is there something else I should do. It can happen at a time when I can not go lay down, such as out with friends shopping etc.
